Life in the heat

It has been a record breaking heat wave this week.  I personally don't mind the heat too much, I do however agree that 38 degrees can put a damper on a few outdoor activities.  It seems my kids take after me and don't mind the heat either.  On the hottest day, Marley was wearing a fully body costume made of a furry material.  We even went out in it.  I tried to persuade her otherwise, but she didn't seem to mind. 

Maisie played baseball (the boys league was cancelled due to heat).  The girls overall were pretty sluggish, except of course for Maisie.  She made the only hit of the night on her team.

The rest of the week, Maisie was in an art day camp.  Marley, Mia and I tried to keep ourselves busy.  I tried to avoid the places with AC though.  I'm not all environmental about it or anything, I get it when you're trying to sleep and you're so sweaty you look like you just stepped out of the shower.  I do not like though when you enter someones house or a store and you feel like you need a jacket.  I mean, come on people.  Brrr....it's summer, it should be hot.

My normal camera was in hibernation this week (must be all the AC) so the ol'  iphone had to due the trick.

I just can't helping snapping....I love the cuteness.
