For years now I've been thinking about getting a Digital SLR. I used to love taking photos until digital cameras came out. I don't know what it was. I used to like the individual control, all the lenses, filters, films. I loved to enter photo contests - even knowing I didn't have a chance of winning. I just loved everything about it. Taking your film into the store, waiting a day or two to get them back. As soon as you paid, you didn't even leave the store before you pulled them out of the top flap envelope. I missed the excitment. I missed the skill you needed.
Now I have some of the feeling back. New lens. New camera body. No film, but new SD card. I bought a photo album and vow to print them out. But oh the extras!! Look, now I get to share them with you. I don't have to drag my album or unorganized envelope out. I can share my day to day experiences with you through my eyes, no matter where you live. How exciting is that!!
So now before I pour through the manual and test every possible button. I share these. The basics of the camera. The basics of my life.
